• Account information: your name, email address, phone number, company name, and login credentials.
• Project and business data: information you enter to run your business — projects, estimates, schedules, client and contact details, crew and subcontractor information, job costs, documents, and notes.
• Photos and files: images you capture or upload (such as site-walk photos, receipts, and project documents). With your permission, the app may access your device camera to capture these.
• Payment information: when you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full credit or debit card numbers on our systems; Stripe handles card data directly.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data: basic technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it secure and working properly.
• Location: if you use weather-related scheduling features, we may use the location of your projects (such as a job address) to provide forecasts relevant to that work. We do not track your personal real-time location in the background.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service and its features;
• Generate estimates, schedules, job costs, and other outputs you request;
• Process subscriptions and payments;
• Communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important updates;
• Keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse;
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Automated Processing and AI Features

Some features use third-party artificial-intelligence providers to process content you submit — for example, turning site-walk photos or project details into itemized estimates, reading uploaded receipts, or drafting schedules. When you use these features, the relevant content is sent to a trusted AI provider solely to generate the result you requested. We do not use this content to build advertising profiles, and you remain in control — every AI-generated estimate, cost, or schedule is yours to review, edit, or discard.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

• Service providers: trusted companies that help us operate, including payment processing (Stripe), email and messaging delivery (Brevo), AI processing, weather data, and cloud hosting. They may only use the information to perform services for us.
• Accounting integrations: if you choose to connect QuickBooks (Intuit) or a similar service, we share the data needed to sync your records, at your direction.
• People you authorize: data you choose to share through the Service, such as a project view shared with your own client, or records shared with your team members and subcontractors based on their role.
• Legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BuildOs Pro, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: if BuildOs Pro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We may also use aggregated or anonymized data (information that does not identify you or any individual or company) to understand usage and improve the Service.

5. Your Data Belongs to You

The business and project data you put into BuildOs Pro is yours. You can access and export your data, and you may request that we delete your account and associated data. We provide tools to download a backup of your information. Some records may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or security reasons.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to limit access to it.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is a business tool intended for use by adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. 10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties (such as Stripe, Brevo, Intuit/QuickBooks, and AI and weather providers). Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
