Asking a question vs. getting work done
Ask a question
"What's holding up the electrical permit?" Ask BuildOs reads your records and answers with where it found it — the permit, the schedule, the estimate. Nothing changes.
Get work done
"Write today's daily log." Ask BuildOs prepares it and shows it on screen. Nothing saves until you tap Confirm. Saying "yes" out loud does not confirm.

Drafts the log from what you say (and a photo if you add one). You tap Confirm before it saves to the job.
“Help me revise this estimate.”
Prepares the change — "add 15% more drywall" — and shows old and new quantities. A sent estimate becomes a new draft revision.
“Show me tomorrow's crew schedule.”
Reads tomorrow's tasks and crews from your schedule and says where it got the answer.
“Prepare an update for my customer.”
Writes a draft customer update for you to read and edit. It never sends anything by itself.

You stay in charge
- Every change is prepared on screen first. Only tapping Confirm saves it, and every confirm is recorded.
- It only sees what you're allowed to see. Field roles see their own jobs; money stays with the roles allowed to see money.
- It cannot send email or texts, place orders, submit permits, or record payments. It tells you and opens the right screen.
- The microphone is on only while you hold Talk or dictate. It turns off by itself when the answer is done or when it goes quiet.
- We turn off Deepgram's model-improvement program for Ask BuildOs, so your recordings aren't used to train their models.
